Job Description

Our locally based, long-standing wholesale company in the Sports Licensing and Gift industry is seeking an Inside Sales Representative to join our team! We are looking for a talented, driven and competitive candidate with a desire to drive sales and play a fundamental role in achieving company revenue growth objectives. A candidate with strong B2B sales experience and an understanding of distributor, retailer, online and independent business markets will aggressively work their assigned territory to maintain business with key accounts, mine for new business, and partner with customers to make our products the preferred choice within the sports licensing industry. You should be self-motivated and work cooperatively with product development, marketing, customer service, operations and management to meet customer needs and company business objectives.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Build relationships and generate new business opportunities using appropriate company resources, programs, email marketing and follow-up techniques in order to create interest amongst key prospects and current accounts
  • Complete Inbound and/or outbound calls and required daily sales activities for new and existing accounts, consistent with company expectations
  • Understand and identify customer needs and expectations in order to recommend specific offerings and products
  • Qualify and respond accordingly to incoming leads of new contacts in target market
  • Stay up-to-date on industry and market knowledge
  • Accountable for territory planning and meeting/exceeding quarterly and yearly sales quotas and revenue goals through strategic account research, development and maintenance


Minimum Job Requirements:

  • 1+ years of outbound/cold calling sales experience 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Positive up-beat attitude, cannot be afraid of rejection
  • Strong oral and written communication skills; effective presentation skills
  • Attendance at yearly tradeshow events; travel required
  • Work well within an office environment; daily office attendance M-F from 8am-5pm required
    • Requests for updated hours (start and end time) will be considered, consistent with full-time and target market requirements


Targeted Annual Earnings:

  • Base Salary: $1800.00/month
    • Negotiable and adjusted per level of relevant experience and past performance
  • Incentives and commissions at minimum plan achievement: $10,000 (first year)
    • Negotiable and adjusted per level of relevant experience and demonstrated  performance
    • High customer retention with consistent repeat business; high annual growth potential for additional commissions likely with proper account management
